Additional information

The Central African CFA franc is issued under the authority of the BEAC — Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale — a supranational institution whose monetary policy is coordinated with the French Treasury and pegged to the euro. Cameroon itself has no independent monetary authority over the currency, which constrains what commemorative programs it can formally sponsor. Modern collector pieces denominated in CFA francs and attributed to member states are typically licensed through intermediary minting agencies rather than struck by or for the issuing government in any direct sense.

KM#919 does not appear in established Krause references cross-checked against known Cameroonian issues as of this writing. Treat the catalog attribution with caution pending independent verification.
