Obverse description The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Togo in the centre of the field, featuring two rampant lions flanking a shield bearing the monogram 'RT', surmounted by two crossed national flags and scroll banners inscribed TRAVAIL, LIBERTE, and PATRIE. The legend REPUBLIQUE TOGOLAISE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1000 FRANCS is inscribed along the lower periphery. A beaded border encircles the entire design. The mirror-like proof field provides a striking contrast to the frosted relief elements.

The date range 1931-2001 is inscribed along the upper portion of the field, commemorating the aircraft's history.
