| Obverse description | The obverse bears the coat of arms of the Gabonese Republic centrally positioned in the field, depicting a shield supported by two black panthers rampant on either side, with a sailing ship on the lower portion of the shield and three roundels above, surmounted by an olive tree with spreading branches.
