| Obverse description | The rectangular obverse features a modern geometric design composed of ruled lines, abbreviated legends, and microprinting arranged at each corner of the field. At the centre, a large circular element frames the Cameroonian national emblem rendered in high relief against a lined background. The legend "CFA" and "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" appear repeated in each quadrant in a stylised, architectural typeface. Along the lower edge of the central circle, the inscription "2025 Ag 999" denotes the year of issue and the fine silver fineness. The overall design evokes a technical or cartographic aesthetic, consistent with the Atlas Maior series theme. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a faithful reproduction of the "Nova et Accuratissima Totius Terrarum Orbis Tabula," the celebrated double-hemisphere world map engraved in 1662 by the Dutch cartographer Joan Blaeu and published in his monumental Atlas Maior. The two hemispheres are depicted in fine detail, rendered with period-accurate cartouches, decorative vignettes, and latitude and longitude graticules characteristic of the Golden Age of Dutch cartography. The map is presented in full colour, highlighting the continents, oceans, and surrounding allegorical figures in the manner of the original engraving. The composition fills the rectangular flan entirely, with the twin hemispheres as the dominant visual element. This design celebrates the pinnacle of seventeenth-century European mapmaking and the enduring legacy of the Blaeu publishing house. |
