Obverse description	The right field carries an intaglio portrait of a West African woman in traditional head-wrap and earrings, while the central vignette presents an open-cast mining scene with large dragline excavators set against a mountainous landscape. To the left stands a carved wooden figurine, and the border is composed of repeating spiral guilloche motifs in brown and ochre tones; two signature panels below the central vignette bear the titles LE GOUVERNEUR and LE PRESIDENT DU CONSEIL DES MINISTRES.

Reverse description	The left portion of the reverse carries a large intaglio vignette of a stylised African mask in profile, rendered in fine line engraving. The border repeats an interlocking geometric and mask motif in orange and olive tones consistent throughout the series.
