Reverse description Printed in blue on an orange-tinted underprint, the reverse carries a sweeping pastoral landscape vignette enclosed within a large oval guilloche border, flanked on each side by tall bare deciduous trees. The lower portion of the vignette shows a wartime rural scene with a damaged farmstead at left and a peaceful agricultural setting at right, evoking the contrast between war and peace. The denomination numeral 1000 appears in ornate open lettering at center, overprinted diagonally in red with SPECIMEN, with two cancellation punch holes at lower left and right.
