| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Equatorial Guinea occupies the central field, depicting a silk-cotton tree (Ceiba pentandra) on a shield, with a row of six six-pointed stars arranged in an arc above the shield. A scroll beneath the arms bears the national motto in three segments: UNIDAD, PAZ, and JUSTICA. The date 1993 is divided across the lower field, flanking the shield on either side.
