Reverse description A modernized interpretation of Augustin Dupré's classical Hercules group dominates the reverse. The nude figure of Hercules, wearing the leontè (lion's skin), stands frontally at center, joining the allegorical figures of Liberty on his left and Equality on his right; Equality holds the level as her attribute. A stylized tricolor French flag rises behind the group as a backdrop. The surrounding legend 'LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ' follows the coin's periphery, with the year of issue inscribed in the lower field. The composition consciously echoes the iconographic tradition of the French Republic while applying a contemporary artistic sensibility.
