| Reverse description | Two Iberian wolves (Canis lupus signatus) are depicted in naturalistic relief within the central field, with an adult wolf standing prominently to the left and a younger wolf seated to the right, both set amid low ground vegetation. The species name in Portuguese, 'O LOBO', appears as a legend in the lower central field, with the date '1994' inscribed below in the exergue.
