Obverse description Central field features the coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, depicting a stylized eagle displayed with a crowned shield on its breast, set against radiating sunbeams. Two olive branches flank the arms symmetrically, one to each side. The date 2003 appears in the upper field, and the denomination 1000 is inscribed below the central device. A circular Armenian legend surrounds the design, with the fineness mark 999 positioned to the right. The inscription ՀԱՅԱՐ ԱՐԾԱԽՅԱՆ ԴՐԱՄ curves along the lower periphery.
