Obverse description	Central field bears the coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh), depicting a spread eagle displayed with a shield on its breast, set against a radiating sunburst within a circular legend. The arms are flanked by olive branches in the upper field. The Armenian legend naming the republic arcs around the upper portion of the central device, while the denomination 1000 appears below the arms. The date 2004 is inscribed at the top of the coin, and the purity mark .999 appears to the right of the central device. A secondary Armenian legend reading ԱՐՑԱԽ ԴՐԱՄ curves along the lower rim.

Reverse description	Central design depicts the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial complex in Yerevan, showing the iconic tall, needle-like stele rising diagonally from the right alongside the truncated conical memorial hall with its twelve slabs, rendered in stylized low relief. In the background, the twin peaks of Mount Ararat are visible on the horizon, evoking the historic Armenian homeland. The commemorative date 1915 is inscribed in the lower field below the monument. An Armenian legend reading ՆՎԻՐՎԱԾoԵՂԵՌՆԻ ԶՈՀԵՐԻՆ (Dedicated to the Victims of the Genocide) arcs around the upper periphery. The purity mark .999 appears at the bottom of the field.
