| Reverse description | Central device depicts the imperial Persian Lion and Sun emblem: a passant lion facing right, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant sun rising behind its back. The lion stands on a ground line, beneath which the Arabic denomination legend 'یکهزار دینار' (one thousand dinars) is inscribed. The AH date 1312 is divided and placed to either side of the lion's body in Eastern Arabic numerals. The entire central device is framed by a wreath of oak and olive branches tied at the base, surmounted by an imperial crown at the apex. A fine beaded border encircles the design. |
