Obverse description Red and yellow intaglio printing on a guilloche underprint. At left, a portrait vignette of Simón Bolívar after Antonio Salas (1825), with a book motif in the background. The issuer name appears along the lower margin, the face value numeral is centered with additional numerals at the upper left and both lower corners, the denomination in letters runs across the top, and two serial numbers with letter prefixes are printed in black at upper right and blue at lower left; a watermark zone occupies the right side with a perfect-match device at upper right. Signatures and issue date are placed centrally between the numeral and the issuer name.

Reverse description Red and black intaglio printing. The central vignette reproduces the painting "Firma del Acta de Independencia" by Juan Lovera. The issuer name is inscribed along the upper margin, the face value appears in numerals at both lower corners and in letters below the issuer name, with the denomination also printed vertically along the left edge turned 90°; below the central vignette, the names of the signatories of the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence are listed.
