Reverse description A facing bust portrait of King Sigismund I the Old (Zygmunt I Stary), depicted wearing a royal crown, an ermine-trimmed mantle, and an ornate chain with a cross pendant, in a style recalling Renaissance medallic portraiture. Decorative wheat and laurel sprigs flank the upper portion of the portrait. The regnal dates 1506 and 1548 appear to the upper left and upper right of the effigy respectively. The legend ZYGMUNT I STARY arcs along the lower periphery of the field.
