Reverse description A left-facing portrait bust of Pope John Paul II occupies the central field, depicted in high relief wearing a zucchetto and an ornately decorated ecclesiastical mozzetta with scrollwork detailing at the collar. The effigy is rendered in a bold, sculptural style characteristic of Wątróbska-Frindt's work. The inscription JAN · PAWEŁ · II arcs along the lower portion of the field, while the word PRÓBA appears to the right of the bust in the field, denoting the trial strike status of this piece.
