| Obverse description | The obverse features the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings displayed, rendered in high relief at center, serving as the national arms of the Polish People's Republic. The eagle is flanked by the date 19-79 in the field on either side of its body. The denomination ZŁ 100 ZŁ appears in large numerals at the bottom of the field. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery. The coin was struck in proof quality with a deeply mirrored field and frosted devices. |
