Obverse description At center, the Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, facing forward, wearing no crown in accordance with the People's Republic design standard, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination 100 appears in large numerals at the base, flanked on either side by the abbreviation ZŁ. The date 1977 is positioned to the left of the eagle's body, split across both sides, with the mint mark MW visible below. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the full periphery in raised Latin lettering.
