Obverse description The obverse features the Polish People's Republic state emblem — a stylised crowned white eagle with spread wings, facing right, rendered in high relief at the centre of the field. The date 1981 is divided on either side of the eagle's lower body, with 19 to the left and 81 to the right. The denomination 100 appears in large numerals at the bottom of the field, flanked by the abbreviated currency mark ZŁ on both sides. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery. The Warsaw Mint mark MW appears below the eagle.
