Obverse description The Polish People's Republic crowned eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in high relief at centre, facing right with talons clutching. The circumferential legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' arcs around the upper field in Latin characters. The date '19 80' is divided on either side of the eagle's lower body, and the denomination '100 ZŁ' is inscribed prominently in the lower field, flanked by the currency abbreviation 'ZŁ' on both sides.
