Obverse description The obverse features the Polish state emblem — a stylized white eagle with spread wings, crowned and displayed, occupying the central field. The denomination '100 ZŁ' appears prominently in large numerals at the bottom of the field, flanked on each side by the 'ZŁ' currency abbreviation. The date '1980' is inscribed within the field, split across either side of the eagle's lower body. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' runs along the upper periphery, and the Warsaw Mint mark 'MW' appears discreetly in the lower field.
