Obverse description The obverse features the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings spread, rendered in high relief at center — which serves as the national arms of the Polish People's Republic. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper rim. The date 1978 is divided by the eagle's body, with '19' to the lower left and '78' to the lower right, accompanied by the mint mark 'MW'. The denomination ZŁ 100 ZŁ is inscribed in large numerals along the lower portion of the field.
