| Additional information |
Part of China's Olympic sports gold series issued ahead of the 1992 Albertville Winter Games, this coin was produced at a time when Chinese winter sport was gaining international visibility but had yet to dominate the podium. The series was aimed squarely at the foreign collector market — mintages were kept deliberately low, and the coins were never intended for domestic circulation.
KM#440 carries a mintage of 2,500 pieces.
