Reverse description A finely detailed effigy of the Bodhisattva Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) is depicted seated in a lotus blossom throne, robed in flowing drapery with a nimbus behind her head. Her right hand is raised, holding a willow branch, a traditional attribute symbolising compassion and healing. Stylised clouds fill the field to either side of the figure. The denomination 100元 appears to the lower left, and the Perth Mint privy mark (P) is positioned to the lower right. The legend 观音菩萨 (Guanyin Bodhisattva) arcs across the upper field in Chinese characters.
