Obverse description Printed in brown, the obverse carries a central vignette of the Great Wall of China winding through a mountainous landscape, rendered in fine line engraving. The bank name in Chinese characters (普察冀邊區銀行) is inscribed across the top panel, with the denomination 壹百圓 (One Hundred Yuan) in large characters at centre. Serial numbers appear in two positions flanking the vignette, and the Republican calendar date 中華民國三十四年 is printed along the lower border.

Reverse description Printed in olive-green, the reverse presents a central vignette of a multi-tiered pagoda set on a rocky hillside, surrounded by dense guilloche latticework and large numeral 100 panels on either side. The English bank name BANK OF SHANSI CHAHAR & HOPEI is inscribed in a banner across the top, with ONE HUNDRED YUAN and the year 1945 along the lower margin. Two manuscript signatures appear beneath the central vignette.
