Obverse description The national emblem of the People's Republic of China occupies the central field, featuring Tiananmen Gate rendered in gold relief beneath a large five-pointed star flanked by four smaller stars arranged in a semicircle. The emblem is encircled by a wreath of grain ears. Reverse description A cong — the iconic ancient Chinese jade ritual object of cylindrical form with a square outer profile and circular inner bore — is depicted in detailed relief at the center of the field, referencing the extraordinary jade artifacts unearthed at the Liangzhu archaeological site. Decorative geometric and zoomorphic motifs characteristic of the Liangzhu culture adorn the surface of the cong. The denomination 100 and additional Chinese inscriptions appear in the field.
