Reverse description The reverse presents a portrait of Sun Yat-sen (孙文) seated at a writing desk, depicted in three-quarter view facing left, dressed in a traditional changshan robe and engaged in writing. The figure is rendered in fine cameo relief against a mirror-polished field. The four-character classical motto 天下為公 (All Under Heaven is for All), a celebrated maxim of Sun Yat-sen, is inscribed in the upper field in semi-cursive style. The denomination 100元 appears at the lower right, with the name 孫文 inscribed at the lower left identifying the subject.
