| Obverse description | The central vignette presents two Onagadori long-tailed roosters facing one another against a pale green guilloche underprint, with the large kanji denomination 百圓 at centre and the numeral 100 in the lower corners. The Imperial chrysanthemum seal is positioned at top centre, a red circular official seal appears at lower left, and the legend 大日本帝國政府 runs across the upper field.
