Reverse description The city goddess of Magdeburg, helmeted and robed, stands to the right leaning on a large oval shield bearing the city's coat of arms, and gestures with her right hand toward a pedestal monument surmounted by a bust of Friedrich III. Inscriptions on the pedestal record the date 25 May 1689, and a two-line legend in the exergue records the date of the first jubilee celebration, 5 June 1789. A circular legend runs along the upper rim.
