Apprentis Numismates is a Quebec-based numismatic youth education organization whose occasional souvenir issues are produced as teaching tools rather than circulating currency. This piece commemorates the centenary of the current Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, whose construction began in 1923 after the previous structure was destroyed by fire — the site itself has drawn pilgrims since the 17th century, making it one of the oldest continuous pilgrimage destinations in North America.

Claude Bernard's signature as issuing authority is consistent with the club's practice of crediting an organizational officer rather than a printer or engraver.
