Additional information

Mongolia's commemorative program of the mid-2000s leaned heavily on European landmark subjects — an unusual portfolio choice for a landlocked Central Asian issuer with no historical connection to Rome. These silver-plated copper pieces were produced for the collector novelty market rather than any monetary function, and the colorization was applied after striking, a process that disqualifies them from most serious numismatic certification under standard protocols.

KM#306.2 distinguishes this from the non-colorized .2 sibling — the suffix denoting the applied color variant as a separate catalog entry.
