| Additional information |
Issued to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the United Nations, this coin was part of a coordinated release by several member states in 2005 — Kazakhstan among the more recent UN members, having joined in 1992 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The National Bank had only begun issuing commemorative bimetallic circulation coinage in the early 2000s, and this type saw genuine use alongside standard 100 Tenge pieces.
