| Obverse description | Bimetallic coin with a cupronickel outer ring and brass-plated steel center. The center features a stylized depiction of an argali (Marco Polo sheep) head facing right, rendered in a traditional Kazakh ornamental style, accompanied by decorative Kazakh tribal motifs to the left. A vertical line divides the central field, with the Cyrillic inscription ТЕҢГЕГЕ 10 ЖЫЛ (meaning '10 Years of the Tenge') inscribed vertically along the dividing line.
