Reverse description A detailed depiction of the reed boat Tigris under full sail occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief, commemorating Thor Heyerdahl's 1977–1978 expedition. A sea turtle is visible emerging from the water in the lower right field alongside rocky outcroppings. The legend TIGRIS EXPEDITION arcs boldly along the upper periphery, while the inscription 'Cooperation Joint Survival 1977-1978' appears in the right field. The commemorative year 1994 is inscribed in the lower exergue.
