| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Samoa occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying the Southern Cross constellation of five stars above and a coconut palm motif below, surmounted by a cross fitchée and flanked by two laurel branches. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto FAAVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA in raised legend.
