| Reverse description | Central vignette of the Ecuadorian national coat of arms — an oval cartouche surmounted by a condor with spread wings, enclosing a landscape with Mount Chimborazo and a steamer on the Guayas River — set within an elaborate engraved frame. Large intaglio numerals '100' occupy the left and right panels against a fine guilloche background in violet-purple tones, with 'CIEN' inscribed at either side of the central vignette.
