Obverse description Printed in dark grey-black intaglio on white cotton paper, the obverse centres on an oval vignette enclosing an allegorical seated female figure — a personification of the Republic — enthroned and holding a staff, framed by intricate guilloche rosettes. The denomination numeral '100' appears in large figures within ornate lathe-work panels at left and right, with series and serial number printed in red at upper right and lower left. The date '13 de Marzo de 1964' and place 'Lima' are inscribed at lower right, flanked by two facsimile signatures of bank officials, with the printer's imprint at foot.
