Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, featuring a shield supported by two kob antelopes, with a crested crane atop the shield and a representation of the River Nile in the base. A scroll below bears the national motto. The legend BANK OF UGANDA curves along the upper periphery within a dotted border, while the denomination 100 SHILLINGS appears along the lower periphery. The motto FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY is inscribed on the ribbon scroll at the base of the arms.
