Uganda's wildlife coinage program of the early 2000s was driven partly by the need for durable low-denomination circulation pieces after earlier cupro-nickel issues suffered badly in the humid equatorial climate. Stainless steel offered a practical answer. KM#133 is a straightforward circulation strike with no known major varieties.
