Obverse description The coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, featuring a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a drum at the centre of the shield and a sun rising above it. Crossed spears appear behind the shield, and a decorative floral base completes the composition. A scrolled banner below the shield bears the national motto FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. The circular legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, separated from the field by a ring of raised dots, while the denomination 100 SHILLINGS appears along the lower periphery within the same dotted border.
