| Obverse description | The Somali national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield adorned with a five-pointed star, supported by two leopards rampant on either side, with crossed palm fronds below. The date is divided either side of the shield, reading '20' to the left and '18' to the right. The legend 'SOMALI REPUBLIC' curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin capital letters, while the denomination '100 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is bordered by a continuous ring of raised beads. |
