Obverse description The obverse features a detailed depiction of the Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire (Reichskrone), rendered in high relief and presented in three-quarter view. The crown, richly adorned with gemstones, enamel plaques, and surmounted by a jewelled arch and cross, is flanked on the left by a processional cross and on the right by the Imperial Sword and Orb, all key regalia of the Holy Roman Empire. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 SCHILLING is inscribed along the lower rim. The date 2001 appears vertically to the right of the crown in the field. The engraver's initials are visible in the lower portion of the design.
