Obverse description Central device depicts the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, rendered in high relief with three lions visible atop an abacus featuring a Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse in low relief. Below the emblem, the national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script. The denomination '100' in large numerals flanked by 'रूपये' in Devanagari to the left and 'RUPEES' in Latin script to the right appears in the lower field. The country name 'भारत' in Devanagari arcs along the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script along the right, with decorative arrow ornaments punctuating the border at cardinal and intercardinal points.
