Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted centrally in the field, rendered in fine relief with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and horse. Below the emblem, the national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) appears in Devanagari script. The denomination '100' is prominently displayed in large numerals in the lower field. Surrounding legends in Devanagari along the left arc read 'भारत' and '100 रुपये', while the English legends 'INDIA' and '100 RUPEES' arc along the right and lower periphery respectively.
