| Obverse description | At centre, the Lion Capital of Ashoka (the national emblem of India), depicted with four Asiatic lions atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra (wheel), rendered in high relief against a mirror-like proof field. Below the emblem, the national motto 'Satyameva Jayate' is inscribed in Devanagari script. The denomination '100' appears in large numerals at the lower centre, flanked by 'RUPEES' in Latin script along the right arc and 'INDIA' along the upper right. The Devanagari equivalents 'भारत' and '100 रुपये' are positioned along the left arc. |
