Obverse description Printed predominantly in green with orange corner embellishments, the obverse bears a portrait vignette of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah in the traditional plumed crown at left. The central vignette presents a panoramic view of the Himalayan massif including Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Everest rendered in fine line engraving, with the watermark window reserved at right.
