Obverse description The silver centre features the two-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia with wings lowered, enclosed within a dotted border, with the Cyrillic inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (Bank of Russia) in a semicircular legend below the eagle. To the left of the eagle, the metal purity designation and fineness for the silver centre are indicated; to the right, the fine metal content. The surrounding gold ring bears the denomination legend «СТО РУБЛЕЙ» (One Hundred Roubles) along the upper rim and the year of issue «2004» along the lower rim, with the metal designation, fineness, fine gold content, and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark «СПМД» also appearing on the ring.
