Obverse description The silver centre features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, with wings elevated, set against a plain field — struck in high relief. The denomination СТО РУБЛЕЙ (One Hundred Roubles) arcs along the upper portion of the outer gold ring, while the issuer's legend БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) appears in the lower portion of the silver centre below the eagle. Fineness and weight inscriptions Ag 925 84.6 and Au 999 124.4 are positioned in the lower left and right fields of the silver centre respectively, flanking the eagle. The mint mark ММД (Moscow Mint) appears to the right, and the year of issue 2008 г. is inscribed along the lower arc of the gold ring, punctuated by raised dots.
