| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national emblem of Qatar at centre, comprising a traditional dhow under sail set before two palm trees, surmounted by crossed scimitars, all rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The Arabic legend 'دولة قطر' (State of Qatar) arcs across the upper field, flanked on the left by the denomination '١٠٠ ريال' in Arabic numerals and script. The Latin inscription 'State of Qatar' curves along the lower portion of the field in a decorative Gothic-style typeface, completing the bilingual presentation. |
