| Reverse description | The reverse is rendered in light violet and blue tones, with a large intaglio vignette of Mayon Volcano dominating the centre-right field, rising above a foreground landscape. To the left, a cartographic outline of the Philippine archipelago is printed in pale underprint tones, accompanied by small vignettes of a Whale Shark and a Rhinoceros Tarsier with identifying labels. A decorative geometric border pattern runs along the right edge, and the denomination numerals 100 appear at upper left and along the right margin, with SANDAANG PISO inscribed along the lower centre. |

The P#232A is part of the New Generation Currency series first launched in 2010, which replaced the BSP's earlier BSP series introduced in the 1980s and 1990s. The 100 Piso denomination has historically been one of the most heavily circulated notes in the Philippine money supply, and the cotton substrate used here continues a long-standing BSP preference — despite periodic government studies into polymer conversion that have never resulted in a full transition for this denomination.
Security specifications on this issue are modest relative to contemporary central bank standards. No color-shifting ink, no optically variable device.
