Obverse description	At left, a vignette of the Roman temple columns of Baalbek rises against a finely engraved guilloche border. The centre carries bilingual text in French and Arabic giving the denomination and redemption terms, with the bank title 'BANQUE DE SYRIE' and its Arabic equivalent 'البنك السوري' at upper centre within an oval medallion. The date 'BEYROUTH, le 1er AOUT 1919' appears below the central text block, flanked by serial number and two manuscript signatures.

Reverse description	The reverse is dominated by a central vignette of a panoramic city view, framed within an ornate engraved cartouche with fine guilloche latticework filling the background. Two tall decorative pillars with horse motifs flank the upper portion of the design, with the Arabic bank title 'البنك السوري' appearing in a panel at the top centre. The denomination '100' is repeated in each corner, with vertical guilloche bands running along both lateral margins.
